Join us for 5 days of intensive ultrasound that focuses on the fundamentals of scanning an abdomen. This course is designed for all novice ultrasound trainees who are enrolled in the Postgraduate Diploma in Health Sciences (Ultrasound) programme. 


The aim of this course is to teach new trainees the basics of how to scan an abdomen. Over the course of 5 days, students will learn the fundamentals of how to scan the following organs 

  • aorta 
  • IVC
  • pancreas
  •  liver 
  • gallbladder 
  • bile duct 
  • kidneys 
  • spleen 


By the end of the course, students will have a good understanding of transducer orientation and the basic scanning concepts and image optimisation.
